Wow! It’s been a while!
I had a baby! We moved! I quit my job! I’m still in school! I started painting again! Yay!
But seriously, I have the best little boy ever. He’s super cute and fun and smart. And he’s probably about to wake up and need a bottle to go back to sleep. π
So, anyways. I painted something for the first time I about a year. I don’t have all my paints or brushes or any basing materials unpacked yet. Or my lightbox for pictures. But I’m so happy with him! He had a bubble in his nose, and I also don’t have green stuff or my scalpels yet, so I had to just deal. Enjoy! C&c is always welcome!
paint bottle for scale. He’s a small little halfling.
well, the pictures posted in reverse order, but you get the picture.
Hope you enjoyed him! Drop me a line and tell me what you think!!

Thanks! They were a little fiddly, but we do what we can. π

Nice work on the eyes. I also like the highlighting on the blue magic ‘stuff’….works well with the more muted earth tones. I’m quite curious about the ?sepia? wash/basecoat that looks like your first step. What is the purpose/intent/function of that?

Thanks for the input!
That is the sepia liner. Bones are notorious for being hydrophobic, but the liners stick for some reason. Usually people use the brown liner, but I could only find the sepia one in my mess. π
It’s a great trick that buglips from the reaper forums is credited with. I definitely recommend it.
