Hey y’all! I’m starting up my painting again. I got the bug!  Before I get there rtho, I wanted to share something that has really helped me this last year.

Since I can’t exactly carry around my painting everywhere I go, I started doing some drawing. I am in no way, shape, or form a skilled 2D artist, but I figured that the only way I was going to get better was to practice. And I figured that getting better pen control would translate to better brush control. So, I have included a compilation of all of my drawings over the last year so you can see what I’ve been doing and then I’ll post some painting stuff as well. I absolutely, 100% think that this has helped improve my freehand skills as well as my spatial realization, as well as my brush control. Since that was the main driver, I’m happy to report success.

It is a lot, a LOT of pictures. So I hope you’re ready for some serious zentangles. Lol. I do recommend those by the way, as they gave me kind of a free form space to start from. I also really like Tombow fudenosuke brush pens the best of everything I tried. I had a bunch of micron pens laying around so I used them at first, but I did change quickly.
