Hi there!

We made it back from Reapercon, I worked 3 in a row, I had 6 off, and now I’m back for another 3 in a row!! We had a lot of catching up to do, so this is my first recap opportunity. lol

We had an amazing time! We got a cool corner hotel room and I had my same spot on artists’ alley!

It was a new experience for us since I did judging 3 days, streaming, and taught 3 classes! I had a busy time! The stream I did was a speed paint of the turduckhen with a limited palette. It was not my wheelhouse. lol

I was super happy with him, and at least someone else was too, since I got a gold medal for him and the gold Giant Monster trophy!!!! This is our Old Guy Table group with all of our medals and trophies!

So this is what my trophy shelf looks like now. That’s a 1st place gummy bear trophy, a silver mouseling award, a bronze giant monster award, 3 gold giant monster awards, and a silver painters sophie award. I’m pretty pleased with it.

We had tons of other fun too, with various shenanigans and hoopla. We painted a castle! I bought an entire line of new paints (oops!)! There were hilarious judging jokes and I stole Cara and Jenn’s baby! I received a suspicious, GIANT resin dragon in a box! There were hilarious entries and I got way too many tiny goblins because Christy is too good at sculpting!

Overall, it was a great time. I never take enough pictures, but it’s always amazing to see old friends and meet new ones! I already have some plans for next year, and I’ve actually been painting some since we got home. Although, I did get waylaid by a Howl’s Moving Castle puzzle….

Anyways, that’s my excitement! I’m looking forward to new and exciting adventures.
